9/11/2001

I know I haven't posted a lot lately.  However, I could not let today pass without pausing to remember.  September 11th 2001 was the first time in my life I truly remember feeling vulnerable and unsafe.  I was horrified that an event like this could happen in our country.  And then I was amazed at the way New Yorkers and then Americans banned together to make sense of the attack.  I don't feel like anything has necessarily changed in the heart and lives of Americans as a whole.  But for me, I am more thankful to live in the USA now than I was prior to this incident.  I'm always heartbroken on 9/11.  So many families were and are touched by these tragedies.

2,998 victims:
266 lives aboard the 4 airplanes
2,229 lives in, around, or near the World Trade Center
23 Police Officers
343 Firefighters and Paramedics
125 Civilians and Military Personel at the Pentagon
19 Terrorists

Operation Iraqi Freedom: 4,404 lives of American Soldiers
Operation Enduring Freedom:  1,257 lives of American Soldiers

Please take the time today to remember these families.  If you're in touch with our Heavenly Father, remember to pray for these families today, remember to pray for our soldiers that fight for our freedom everyday, remember to pray for our rescue workers and police officers that fight for our lives every day, remember to pray for our nation as a whole, remember to pray  for the families of the 19 terrorists too(they need Salvation just like we do), and remember to say a prayer of Thanksgiving for the privilege to be an American Citizen(if you are).

Dear Chad :)
It is wonderful to see your wonderful blog. Especially this post. May God bless the souls of the people who lost their lives on 9/11. The ignorant people took the lives of innocents.

Dear, you somehow forgot to mention the 151,000 deaths of Iraqis, and 17,611 - 37,208 deaths in Afghanistan. They are sowing which they din reap. Please remember them in your good thoughts too. I hope you did not mind me commenting here

May God bless you.amen

Aamir
